The First Christian Nursery School is open to all families of all faiths. The preschool doesn't teach a religious curriculum. The teachers emphasize improving basic cognitive skills through problem-solving activities. Enrichment programs include music, movement and vocabulary. Special-needs children may be accompanied by an aide.
All CNS staff members are active in state and local professional associations. The staff also participates in continuous in-service education and is trained in CPR.

As a cooperative preschool, it encourages the families of students to get actively involved in their children's educational development. Programs include arts and crafts, cooking, music, gardening, socialization, field trips and more.
The independent Sunset Montessori Preschool was founded in 2002. The classrooms are bright and cheerful with a wide-open feel. There is plenty of space for kids to move around, explore and discover. The school's design is meant to stimulate a child's natural curiosity. Parents can choose from a two-, three- or five-day program. Half-day programs are also available. Parents can look at the website or call the school to schedule a tour. The school is open for parent tours every Tuesday at 9:30am.
