The Children's Workshop, which opened its first center in 1990, offers quality child care and education for children from infancy to school age. Waltham Childcare Center offers full-time and part-time care for kids. It is able to accommodate children from infancy through kindergarten. There is plenty of room for the children to learn and play, and the grounds include a secluded courtyard.
Waltham Creative Start is located on Hall at Chestnut streets in a former public library building. Waltham Creative Start (formerly Waltham Head Start") offers child care to local families. Daily activities in include meals/snacks, group activities, outdoor play and more. The rate for this service is $225per week and subsidies may be available for those who qualify. Waltham Creative Start is part of Communities United, which has been operating child care centers in Waltham and surrounding communities since 1970. It is a non-profit that receives part of its funding from the Federal and State Government.
