Located in Devils Lake, N.D., the Lake Area Career & Technology Center is an educational institute that offers a variety of technical courses. The center provides classes in automotive technology, culinary arts, and health, business and family education. It also offers lessons in marketing education and construction, information and welding technology. The center provides guidance and support services for students with developmental disabilities. The Lake Area Career & Technology Center s counseling and guidance program offers assistance with class scheduling, postsecondary planning, and sex equity and population issues. It additionally provides a literacy program that promotes job training, child development, and adult and parent education. The center s marketing program prepares students for careers in sales, inventory control, merchandising and direct marketing. It offers memberships in several clubs and organizations, including the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA) and Family Career & Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). The Lake Area Career & Technology Center is a part of Devils Lake Public Schools.
