Trilok Fusion Center for Arts & Education is a nonprofit organization which endeavors to provide its community with a cultural and artistic facility. Offering summer and after-school programs for children, including Bharatanatyam, an Indian classical dance, music, cooking, language classes, photography, yoga, art, theater and more, Trilok Fusion Center additionally provides studio rental space for workshops, events and parties, and is home to a preschool which caters to students ages 2 to 5.
Part of the Christ Lutheran Church in East Northport, Little Lights Preschool offers programs for ages two through four.
The program for two-year-olds includes story time, arts and crafts, circle time, music and finger play and outdoor play. The three- and four-year-old program includes language arts, calendar, weather, cooking, snack time and outdoor play.
Field trips are scheduled according to availability and are used to support curriculum units.
The students also learn about religious holidays, simple Bible stories, say a prayer at circle time and before snack and attend age-appropriate monthly chapel visits led by the pastoral staff.
Rabbi Avraham Lehr said, "Everyone is welcome at the Chai Center, regardless of one's level of religious observance. The philosophy is in keeping with the Chabad-Lubavitch approach of joy, scholarship and unconditional acceptance and love of every Jew."
No membership is required. The Rabbi said that at the average shabbat service, 100 people will attend. But at a High Holy Day service, for example, the temple will be packed to capacity with 600 people. You don't need to pay for a ticket to attend a High Holy Day service, like you do at most temples.
