Founded in 1911, Childrens Harbor is an organization offering early child care and education for children. Based in Suffolk, Va., it operates four centers throughout the country that are accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs. The organization provides child care centers, preschools and kindergarten facilities. Childrens Harbors programs and services include coordination of special events; assistance and subsidy programs; technical assistance and consultation; United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) child and adult care food program; and resources/support services for early childhood programs, among others.
