The Northern Virginia Hebrew Congregation, NVHC for short, is a synagogue serving more than 400 families from Fairfax and Loudoun Counties. The temple is an affiliate of the Union of Reform Judaism. It offers a welcoming religious community, weekly worship services, discussion groups, adult education and lifecycle events.
NVHC has an active Brotherhood, Sisterhood, Social Action Committee and Youth Groups. The temple is also home to a preschool for children ages 2-5.
The North Bay Children's Center has programs for infants to pre-kindergartners. The teacher-child ratio ranges from 3:1 to 12:1 depending upon the age. Summer programs for children 5-7 years of age are also available. It is located in the Hamilton area of Novato, next to the Novato Charter School.
Giving Tree Montessori School provides the chance for children to learn at their own pace in developing mentally, physically and emotionally. The school has programs tailored for infants, toddlers and elementary children.
Nanda Child Care Centers are committed to providing the highest standard of affordable child-inspired, nurtured care and learning opportunities.
Activities are geared to the children's age, interests and abilities. The goal is to promote social/emotional self-awareness, sharing, manners, self-discipline and respect and playing alone and with others. This includes creative play with learning centers, arts and crafts. Mental learningdevelopment with letters, numbers, colors and shapes is also included.
Infant, toddler and pre-school programs are apart of this process. The schedules are structured to keep a child engaged and interested throughout the day.
Nanda offers nutritious breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon snacks.
