Nazareth Academy is a Catholic, coeducational high school that provides its students with a curriculum of college preparatory courses at the honors and advanced placement levels. Its curriculum offers advanced-placement testing in more than 10 areas. With an enrollment of more than 750, the high school has various departments, such as English, foreign languages, fine and practical arts, math, religion, science and social studies. The Nazareth Library features a reading room for more than 80 students. It includes open stacks, a reference collection and an electronic card catalog. It operates various campus ministries that include liturgy and retreat planning, Peacebuilders, Adopt-A-Grandparent, Hodkins Tutoring and Friends In Service and Hospitality. St. Louise De Marillac is a Catholic parish in La Grange Park located in a tree-lined neighborhood just blocks from the main thoroughfare of 31st Street. 

It dates to 1955, when Father Cletus Lynch founded the parish to serve the La Grange Park and Brookfield communities.

The parish, along with the school of the same name, stands on the original property of the church built in 1957.

Ministry opportunities include choir, ushering, alter service, single Catholics group, senior friendship club and groups for youth, teens and young adults.
