Vandebilt Catholic High School, founded in 1870 by the Marianite Sisters of Holy Cross, is a diocesan coeducational institution. Located in Houma, La., it enrolls more than 900 students in grades eight through 12. Its curriculum includes English, Spanish, math, science, social studies, religion, computer technology and physical education. It also offers elective courses, such as accounting, psychology, French, Spanish, Latin, publication, broadcast and journalism. It offers various sports activities, such as soccer, football, volleyball, basketball, track, cross-country, golf, softball, swimming, soccer and tennis. It provides recreational activities, such as computer, art, drama club, National Honor Society, student council, dance team, drill squad and show choir. It also has library, media center and computer laboratory facilities, and offers cafeteria service for its students.
