Applewood Christian School is a nondenominational, private educational institution that offers academic programs to students in kindergarten through grade 12. It has an affiliation with the Association of Christian Schools International and employs a work force of more than 15 classroom teachers and paraprofessionals. The school offers coaching and training in a variety of sports activities, such as volleyball, soccer and basketball. Located in Sedalia, Mo., Applewood Christian School maintains a family club that conducts monthly meetings. Its curriculum includes reading, language arts, math, social studies, history, phonics, science, art, music, physical education and drama. The school supports the American Association of Christian Schools and the Mid-America Association of Christian Schools.
