Founded in 1957, St. Joseph High School was owned and operated by the School Sisters of St. Francis in Milwaukee, Wis. The schools ownership was transferred to the Archdiocese of Milwaukee in 1991. Carthage College, located in Kenosha, Wis., is a private college of the liberal arts and sciences that is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The college has an enrolment of more than 2,000 full-time and over 600 part-time students. It awards the bachelor of arts degree with majors in more than 30 subject areas, and the master of education degree. The college also hosts the joint executive master of business administration and master of social work degree awarded by Loyola University Chicago.
