Pine Rest offers 198 inpatient beds across nine age-specific units, providing inpatient services for children, adolescents, young adults, adults and older adults. Inpatient care is short-term, intensive treatment provided in safe and secure units designed for individuals who are experiencing significant behavioral health issues, the severity of which requires 24/7 monitoring and care for safety. Treatment services are managed by board-certified psychiatrists, working along with a multi-disciplinary team, to provide a comprehensive professional assessment, crisis stabilization, medication management and an individual plan for transition to a less intensive level of care. Our Partial Hospitalization (Day) Programs offer short-term treatment tailored to the specific needs of patients of all ages, and provide an opportunity for more intensive treatment while allowing patients to return home in the evening. Programs are available for children (ages 5-11), adolescents (ages 12-17) and adults. A special Mother and Baby Program provides a unique opportunity for women with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMAD) such as postpartum depression to receive treatment in an environment which enhances mother/baby bonding. Our program includes a nursery, allowing mothers to bring their babies with them on a daily basis. This feature eliminates many barriers to women seeking treatment such as separation from the baby, as well as child care and feeding issues.
