McCall Primary School is located just a few minutes away from Cauble Park by Lake Acworth. The school was initially created to help relief overcrowding at Acworth Elementary School. The two schools work closely and maintain regular communication with each other. The mission of McCall Primary School is to help every child become a successful learner by building on tradition and creating excellence. An after school program is available for $7 per day with a $10 registration fee.
Pickett's Mill Elementary School is a part of the Cobb County School District, located near Allatoona High School. The school was named after one of the most well-preserved Civil War battlefields in the nation, Pickett's Mill Battlefield Historic Site. Pickett's Mill was established with the goal to relieve the overcrowded conditions at feeder schools in the northwest Cobb area, and was built with funds from SPLOST II. The school was named as one of the "Green Schools" in Cobb County, and serves more than 726 students in grades PK-5. It has two computer labs, two art classrooms, two music classroom, a gym and a well-equipped media center. An after-school program is available for $7 per day with a $10 registration fee.
Allatoona High School is part of the Cobb County School District, with a student body of 856 from grades 9 - 12. It's the only Cobb County high school in the City of Acworth and is located adjacent to Pickett's Mill Elementary School.
The school has 14 sports teams, including football, baseball and basketball, and offers a variety of extracurricular activities. Some of the student clubs include Helm (the student government organization), band, chorus, orchestra, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Educators of America (FEA), math team, Spirit Club, Tri-M Music Honor Society and the Young Alderman Program.
Allatoona High has a student-to-teacher ratio of 12:1, which is lower than the State of Georgia average ratio of 14:1.
