The Sacramento Bee is a subsidiary of The McClatchy Company, a newspaper and Internet publisher headquartered in Sacramento, Calif. Building on a 147-year legacy of independence, The McClatchy Company has 12 daily and 17 community newspapers with a combined average circulation of 1.4 million daily and 1.9 million Sunday.
