Smith's Tavern has been with Park Slope on 5th Avenue, near the corner of 9th Street for more than 75 years. It's hard to tell its age since it received a renovation in 2000. Smith's continues to be frequented by locals for drinks, sporting events and the lovely music played from its jukebox. The bar has 15 beers on tap and several TVs to watch sports.
Washington Commons opened in 2009. From the outside one may not be able to tell this was a bar, but this is a local place to hangout and the bar has 10 local beers and a wide range of spirits. The back porch is open in warmer weather. Happy hours typically run from 3pm to 8pm on weekdays and 1pm to 4pm on weekend.
