At Philly Platinum Grille the owner is always present. This restaurant features a menu full of comfort food, excellent seafood dishes, a full bar and a brunch menu for Sundays. Philly Platinum Grille is also an excellent place for private parties.
A earthy take on a restaurant and brew pub, Earth Bread Brewery is a favorite in Mount Airy. It sells its own green, organic and locally produced breads and brews. In addition to beer and bread, it also offers wine and table tennis.
The Bayou has been a hub of activity on Main Street since 1993. The lively bar is a social gathering place to watch a game, meet people and listen to live music on the weekends. Bar food with a Cajun twist makes for a fun change of pace. The space actually feels a bit like a bar one would find in New Orleans, maybe just off Bourbon Street.
For an interesting twist on bar food, a great beer selection and live local bands on the weekends, Dawson Street Pub is the place to go. Not just hot wings - habanero mango wings; not just french fries, but sweet potato fries; not just a salad, but a cheese plate and veggies with hummus. Of course, there's a great selection of sandwiches too, from burgers to portobello mushroom sandwiches. Complimented by about 5o different kinds of beer, this is a great little place off the beaten path of Main Street. Check out their website for the live music lineup. Cheers.
For 20 years, Henry James Saloon has been the good ol' neighborhood bar where everyone knows your name and you can watch the game on one of seven large-screen televisions. Friendly service, good food including jam-packed sandwiches and some of the coldest tap beer in Philly makes this a local favorite. During the day, the atmosphere is a little more family friendly and the restaurant even offers a kids menu.
