Salt Lake Valley Emergency Communications Center, also known as VECC, is a police, fire and medical emergency services dispatch agency located in West Valley City, Utah. It is a nationally approved public safety and communications agency. VECC was formed under Utah laws by six Salt Lake area cities in 1988. Its charter members are Draper, Midvale, Murray, Sandy, South Jordan, South Salt Lake, West Jordan and West Valley cities and Salt Lake County in Utah. It works in partnership with various companies, including Spillman Technologies, Plant Equipment, Motorola, Language Line, FatPot and CTA Communications. Salt Lake Valley Emergency Communications Center has received award for public safety by Intelligent Transportation Society of America.
