WGST 640AM is the flagship station of the Georgia News Network and a leading news and talk radio station in Atlanta. Along with its local reporting staff, the station broadcasts talk shows of conservatives Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Dave Ramsey. The Georgia News Network, the second largest in the United States, has an audience of more than 2 million people in Georgia, according to news director Matt Cook.
Owned by the Citadel Broadcasting Corporation, WYAY, True Oldies 106.7 FM, plays oldies music from the 60's and 70's. The station has an active playlist rotation of 5,000 songs that has helped give WYAY a great boost in the ratings since they dropped its country format in 2008. The far-reaching 77,000 watt station chose The Beatles classic hit 'Revolution' to kick off its oldies format.
Sports Radio 790 The Zone is a brash sports talk station giving Atlanta fans plenty to buzz about the hometown college and pro teams as well as national teams. Run by A Big League Broadcasting Co., the station is the flagship for Georgia Tech sports and the Atlanta Hawks. Its sister station is Star 94, which broadcasts Top 40 music.
