KRTR is a branch of Cox Radio, the third-largest radio broadcasting company in the United States based on revenues and one of the largest pure-play radio station groups based on revenues. The company operates, acquires and develops radio stations primarily in markets ranked 10 to 70 based on revenues. A majority of the companys stations are concentrated in the Sunbelt region. In addition, Cox Radio owns, operates or provides sales and marketing services to more than 75 stations in several markets. Cox Radio became a publicly traded company in 1996 and is majority-owned by Cox Broadcasting, a subsidiary of Cox Enterprises. Cox Radio is located in Atlanta. KRTR maintains a location in Honolulu.
