Transco Products manufactures and installs thermal insulation systems for electrical generating stations. Products fall into the categories of engineered thermal insulation systems utilized in the nuclear power industry, passive fire protection systems for protecting a variety of industrial environments and specialized fabrication for nuclear applications, including radiation shielding, composite systems and stainless steel assembly fabrication. The company also provides installation services and field technical support. Transco insulating products are used in every nuclear power plant in the United States and in more than 200 nuclear power plants in more than 15 countries worldwide. Just a few of the company s offerings include penetration seals, raceway fire barriers, removable blanket insulation, thermal-wrap nuclear grade blanket insulation, specialized fabrication, metal reflective/encapsulated insulation and insulation for steam generator replacements. Transco Products acts as a parent company for a few subsidiaries also dealing in the insulation industry, including Transco Railway Products and Advance Thermal. Transco was founded in 1936.
