Founded in 1979, Vietnamese Youth Development Center (VYDC) is a comprehensive multi-service agency. Located in San Francisco, Calif., it provides culturally competent services to youth in the Tenderloin and San Francisco. The company conducts activities, such as communication skills & problem solving workshops, team sports (basketball, bowling), youth theater projects, hip-hop and Cambodian dance classes, weekend excursions (biking trips, picnics), cultural gatherings (Cambodia/Lao new year, holiday parties) and community services. Vietnamese Youth Development Center provides services at local middle and high schools and alternative schools.
