Van Nuys Sherman Oaks Park is a large park located in Sherman Oaks. Facilities include a swimming pool with a high dive, baseball field, soccer field, paddle tennis, tennis and basketball courts. There is a large parking lot on the north end of the park that offers free parking from 6am - 9pm.

Horace Heidt's Magnolia Estate Apartments is located in a secluded, gated community. The complex, which was built in the '60s, has several fake waterfalls on it, and offers bungalos, one-, two- and three-bedroom units.
