A sixth-grade only school located at 1151 Main Street in the heart of downtown Manchester, the Elisabeth M. Bennet Academy adheres to a philosophy that "all students can and must learn at relatively high levels of achievement." The school presents students with a challenging curriculum, but also works to forge collaborative relationships among students, parents, faculty and staff in order to achieve its goals. Tula Family Enrichment Center is a recreation center where people of all ages can take part in Yoga, Zumba and Martial Arts fitness classes. The center's combined Zumba/Yoga room has hardwood flooring and large mirrors for students to be able to observe their form.
Pequot Ledge Campgrounds, located on Gardner Lake in Oakdale offers seasonal camping, rustic cabin style. Featured activities include whitewater paddling, hiking, fishing, swimming, sailing, canoeing, water skiing, ping pong, karaoke, various sports activities and many nearby attractions such as Salmon River, a great whitewater rafting spot and Whittle Brook. Campers will find 92 campsites including small cabins and lake front or wooded sites for RVs and tents. Full grocery available for convenience. Open May through September.
