Watts Music offers a wide variety of new and used music in all formats and is the only store of its kind in Novato. If it happens to not have a selection on hand, it will be ordered immediately. Tickets for live shows at the Phoenix Theater in Petaluma -- one of the most popular music venues among Novato teens -- are sold there, and so are posters and T-shirts. The store has been a beloved downtown fixture since 1979 and its retro atmosphere and customer servers keeps music fans coming back for more.
Since 1994, Marin Computer Resource Center has provided free, refurbished computers to those who need them. Used and discarded electronics and computers are reclaimed and reborn through their training program. To date, they've given away thousands of computers to schools, nonprofit organizations and economically or physically disadvantaged people. Volunteers learn to restore computers and electronics for home, school and office applications. Donations of computers, printers, monitors, TV's, VCR's, stereos, phones and all their accessories, working or not, are gratefully accepted.
