The company s long-term relationships with mills, foundries and consumers worldwide, facilitate low and consistent. The company, once known as Metro Metals NW, was founded in 1991. In 1997, Metro Metals NW, Cliff Koppe Metals and Mt. Hood Metals formed a joint venture to build a $10-million automobile shredder in Vancouver, Wash. In 1999, as the new facility was nearing completion, the three competitors merged to form Metro Metals Northwest. The company is headquartered in Portland, Ore.
