Bilingual Education Institute, operational for more than 20 years, provides multicultural education to individuals, groups and government agencies. BEI s English program s curriculum includes grammar, idioms, vocabulary, conversation, reading, writing and listening comprehension. Its refugee program is funded by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and serves clients from all over the world who resettle in the Houston. Its foreign language program is offered at beginner, intermediate, intermediate-advanced and advanced levels. BEI offers a variety of language study materials, including specialized computer programs, videos, audiotapes and books and provides housing assistance and foreign student visa information. It is approved by the Accrediting Council of Continuing Education and Training and is a member of the National Association for Foreign Student Affairs.
