The North River Christian Academy, formerly known as Open Door Christian School, serves more than 250 students in preschool through grade 12. The independent, coeducational academy organizes athletic programs in football, volleyball, basketball, cheerleading and softball. It offers participation opportunities in student organizations, such as the National Beta Club and the National Honor Society. The North River Christian Academy also provides programs in theater, visual arts and music. The academy offers classes in religion, English, mathematics, science and physical education, as well as administers a college-preparatory academic program. In addition, it operates a parent-teacher fellowship and provides guidance counseling and food services. The North River Christian Academy is a ministry of Open Door Baptist Church.
