Grace Church of Greenwich met for the first time in 1994 at Greenwich's Hyatt Regency and has since grown to serve parishioners from all over Connecticut. It is a part of the Presbyterian Church in America.

Sunday services are held at the Woman's Club of Greenwich at 9am and 10:45am.

Adult Sunday School and middle and high school groups meet from 10am to 10:45am on Sundays. Children meet at about 11am during the second half of the 10:45am mass. Real Food, the church's own young professionals group, meets on Wednesday evenings for conversation and a meal.

It's hard to miss the Second Congregational Church on the corner of Milbank and East Putnam Avenues. The church, founded in 1705, sits majestically atop a hill. Its magnificent stone building and steeple has become a town landmark. An informal worship service takes place in the chapel on Sundays at 8:30 a.m. The main service is held at 10:00 a.m. in the sanctuary. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month.

Church School takes place during the 10:00 a.m. service. Childcare is available from 9:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings.

Volunteers and professional musicians comprise the Chancel Choir and the men's and women's choruses. Youth Choir Program is a popular, non-auditioned group for boys and girls.

The town's local branch of First Church of Christ, Scientist is located on Park Place. A reading room is located at 333 Greenwich Avenue, and includes literature to borrow and buy.

A Sunday service is held at 10:30am, at which time children attend Sunday School. Wednesday evening meetings take place at 8pm.

Music is integral to each of the gatherings, and all are welcome.

St. Michael the Archangel Parish is a Roman Catholic church in Greenwich and part of the Bridgeport Diocese. Mass is held Monday through Friday at 7:45 and 9am, Saturday at 9am and 5pm, and on Sundays at 7am, 8:30am, 9:45am (family), 11am and 12:15pm. Youth masses are also offered.

Confessions are given Saturdays from 4:15 to 4:45pm.

Parishioners are also invited to join the Men's Association, a networking and job-hunt group, and the Women's Association—an organization that raises funds and coordinates numerous programs for those in need.

St. Michael Youth Group addresses all high-schoolers and offers special youth masses throughout the year.

Sacred Heart Parish includes the Convent of the Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement, home to three nuns who are active in the community. The parish is a part of the Diocese of Bridgeport.

Mass is held Friday mornings at 7am, Saturday afternoons at 4pm and 5:30pm, and Sunday mornings at 7:30am, 9:30am and 11:30am.

Confessions are given on Saturday at 3:30pm to 4pm and at 5pm to 5:30 pm.

The church's School Hall is home to Pat-a-Cake Playschool. The space can accommodate up to 100 people and is available to parishioners for rental.

The Parish of Saint Mary is a Roman Catholic community founded in 1874. The parish consists of the rectory, the stone church, parish center, and a dedicated clergy, staff and laypeople.

Mass is held daily during the week at 7am, 8am and 12:05pm, with an additional 5:30pm service during Lent. On Saturdays, a morning service is held at 8am and two vigils take place at 4pm and 5:15pm. The 7:30pm Saturday mass is read in Spanish. Sunday services are held at 7am, 9am, 10:30am, 12:15pm and 5:15pm.

Religious education classes are offered during the week for children, as well as special program to guide children through First Reconciliation, Holy Communion and Confirmation. The parish youth group coordinates numerous social activities for young people.

Music echoes through the church, with sung prayer of the youth and adult choirs, comprised of volunteers and professionals. Adults can participate in a number of faith formation groups and events. The church is also home to the Hispanic Center.

Established in 1916, the Greenwich Family YMCA is a nonprofit organization that offers a variety of youth development programs. It operates a fitness center that is equipped with cardio and strength training equipment, including bikes, elliptical cross trainers, free weights and treadmills. The organization additionally features a 25-yard Olympic-size pool for recreation, competition and lap swimming. The Greenwich Family YMCA conducts aerobic classes that include spinning, Pilates, yoga and body conditioning. It provides adult locker rooms that feature hair dryers, sauna and steam facilities. The small but vibrant parish of St. Agnes is home to a shrine to Our Lady of Lourdes, a grotto similar to the original in France.

Mass is held Monday through Thursday and on Holy Days at 9am. A Saturday vigil is read at 5pm, and confessions are heard on the first Saturday of the month after the evening service. Sunday services are at 8:30am and 10am.

Professional soloists and an organist fill the church with music during Mass. Catechism classes for grades one through eight meet on Wednesday afternoons and guide children through the sacraments of First Reconciliation, Holy Communion and Confirmation. The church's large carriage room includes a kitchen and bar, suitable for receptions and parties. It can seat up to 220 people.

Temple Sholom is the largest traditional egalitarian conservative synagogue in the area, serving Greenwich, Rye Brook, Armonk, Stamford, and surrounding communities.

The temple offers a wide variety of worship services, including traditional minyanim, musical family services, a learner's minyan, and young child services, as well as our regularly scheduled Shabbat, Festival and High Holy Day services.

Selma Maisel Nursery School operates from the temple, and a number of vibrant, active youth programs are available for children from second through twelth grades.

Adult education, lectures and social events are frequently scheduled.

Saint Paul Lutheran Church is located in Byram on Greenwich's west end.

Sunday worship is held at 9am. Christian Education for all ages meets Sunday after Worship. Most Sundays during the summer also include an outdoor barbecue lunch around noon.

During the School year, children and youth events meet on Wednesdays after school. Supper for all enrolled families and guests follows. Adult classes meet after Supper.

The First United Methodist Church of Greenwich, founded in 1843, is based in a distinctive building on Post Road that's listed with the National Register of Historic Places.

Sunday worship begins at 10:30am, during which time children are invited to attend Sunday School; nursery care is also available for infants starting at 10:15am. A Spanish mass is read on the first Sunday of the month at 12:30pm.


Beyond Sunday School, the FUMC of Greenwich offers its young people the opportunity to participate in the children's Cherub Choir, join the middle-school youth group and partake in some of the congregation's local and international mission projects.

The First Lutheran Church in downtown Greenwich is a member congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

St. Saviour's Episcopal Church began as the Sound Beach Mission in 1918 and is part of the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut. The Rev. Victoria Miller was called to be rector and ratified by the parish in 2002.

Harvest Time Church is an evangelical church built in 2004 and located on King Street. A Saturday worship service is held at 5:30pm. Sunday services take place at 8:30am, 10am and 11am. The traditional service at First Presbyterian Church begins at 10am each Sunday, during which time children through the 7th grade are invited to attend education programs. The semi-professional Chancel Choir leads the service.

An additional Sunday evening service is held in the Anderson Chapel at 5pm and during the summer months, an 8:30am service is held in the Seaside Garden at Greenwich Point, weather permitting. Childcare is available during all services.

In addition to Sunday School, children can participate in the church choirs. There's a special youth group for middle school children as well as a Confirmation class. Faith Inspired Senior High (FISH) provides highschoolers with an array of faith-formation and social activities.

The Fellowship Committee coordinates a number of activities and family events throughout the year, including the annual summer picnic and Homecoming Sunday.
