St. David's Episcopal Church was founded in 1945. Its beautiful architecture contains the main church building as well as the school building. Music is an important part of its ministry, and the church has four different types of choir (open to all), and a Buzard Opus 27 Pipe Organ, installed in the chapel in 2002.
St. Catherine's Labourne Catholic Church is a spiritual and very active community. The church offers religious education, a music ministry and a Catholic School for grades pre K-8. It is conveniently located near the 294 Tollway, Glenbrook Hospital and the Glen.
St. Andrews Parish has a new location on Milwaukee Avenue near Golf Road. Visitors cannot miss its massive domed building. This is one of five Assyrian Churches in the Chicagoland Area. There is a large banquet hall in which members dine together every Sunday after Mass. The room can also be rented out for special events. St. Andrews holds adult education classes on Tuesdays in English and on Sundays in Aramaic. They participate in a summer soccer tournament and hold a summer camp for children.
The Presbyterian Church of Glenview is housed in a unique building, with a multicolored exterior that can be seen clearly from afar. It offers a welcoming community that has services in both English and Korean.
This church is housed in a beautiful historic building and is well-maintained. In addition to holding weekly Bible study and Sunday worship services, it also runs Open Arms, a child development center, which is open 12 hours a day. There is a cemetary across the street from the church.
The Chicago Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is located in a large, wooded site near the I-294 Tollway. It is an architectural gem, characterized by its marble exterior and white-tipped spires rising from the six corners of the building. The beautifully landscaped garden surrounding the temple is opened to the public.
The Christian Science Reading Room in downtown Glenview offers numerous books, Christian Science literature and a place to relax. Open to the public, the storefront is comprised of a bookstore in the front and a reading room with a couch and chairs towards the back where visitors or study groups can sit and unwind.
The Divine Word Gift Shop is located on the Divine World Campus. It sells books, statues, holy cards and a multitude of pictures, rosaries and angelic items. It's easy to find gifts here for holy communion or other special events.
Korean Canaan Presbyterian Church is an English-speaking ministry of a predominately Korean-speaking congregation. It features weekly small group meetings and an outreach service at local homeless shelters twice a month. Physical fitness is also encouraged, and the congregation participates in multi-church volleyball tournaments and holds a weekly gym night. Korean Canaan Presbyterian also provides a student shuttlebus from downtown as well as from Evanston to help its college-age members attend Sunday worship services.
First Korean Presbyterian Church offers weekly services in both English and Korean. Weekly youth services and adult worship services are available. The church features youth programs for children of all ages, from kindergarteners to high schoolers.
The Glenview United Methodist Church is a friendly, nurturing place open to those of all faiths. They are family friendly and have many activities for children, such as the Vacation Bible School, youth choir and community service activities. Adult education classes are also available and the church contributes to missions locally and throughout the world.
Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church has spacious facilities on Lake and Wagner, right across from Wagner farms. It has beautiful architecture, featuring a giant golden dome on the exterior, and a large, square rotunda at the entrance. This church has a very active and energetic congregation, placing a strong emphasis on education, offering learning programs to children of all ages. It also holds Greek language and civilization classes.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church comprises a warm community that celebrates its rich Catholic heritage. It recently celebrated its 100th anniversary. Located in a beautiful building in the heart of Glenview, it also houses the largest Catholic elementary school in the Chicago Archdiocese.
St. Philip Church has a large campus and provides many extracurricular activities for its members and the community. It is a spiritual environment with many family and youth activities. A traditional Sunday mass is held at 8:30am and an Alternative Rock Service is held at 10am. It also offers daily AA meetings, Weight Watchers groups, Clothes Closet a meal kitchen and more.
