Gaithersburg Church of The Nazarene adheres to a Wesleyan doctrine of the gospel, offering contemporary worship services and an active community outreach program. Roughly 350 members make up the 50-year-old congregation.

The Historic Chapel at St. Rose of Lima was built in 1883. A few years ago the parish built a much larger and more modern church. The masses are at 5 pm on Saturday and 7:15, 8:45, 11:15 and 1pm (en Espaol) on Sunday. Weekday services are at 8:45 am Monday through Friday.

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel has served as the epicenter of Catholic worship in Middle River dating back to 1887, and is also home to an elementary and high school. The church officially became a parish in 1904 and a rectory was finished a year later. It is led by Msgr. Robert L. Hartnett, who has helped guide the parish toward tremendous growth in recent years.
Founded in 1990 in a nearby house, Kemp Mill Synagogue's second home is in its new building on Kemp Mill Road, near the far east side of Wheaton Regional Park. The Orthodox synagogue is led by Rabbi Jack Bieler and strives to be a place where community and prayer are combined.
