The Union for Reform Judaism is a nonprofit organization that supports to reform Jewish congregations in North America. The organization was founded in 1873 by Rabbi Isaac Mayer Wise as the Union of American Hebrew Congregations. It deals with various spiritual, ethical, social justice and management issues of the Jews. The Union for Reform Judaism assists members to transform into committed Jews and inspires them to live Jewish lives. The organization includes more than 900 congregations in the United States, Canada, the Bahamas and Puerto Rico. Its synagogue educators and teachers provide classes on various Jewish terms, including Torah, Avodah, G milut Hasadim and klal Yisrael. The Union for Reform Judaism is located in New York City.
