What began as a converted blacksmith shop on Milwaukee's south side in 1873, Saint Jacobi Church moved to its present location in 1979 when the present building was completed. It had also been located on Milwaukee's south side in the early 1900s and six miles southwest of its current location before settling at its present spot. 

Saint Jacobi Evangelical Lutheran Church and School are associated with the WELS synod of Lutheran worship.

In addition to worship service, St. Jacobi Lutheran offers Bible study throughout the week, including special classes for women on the second and fourth Thursday of the month. Saint Jacobi has three pastors: Timothy J. Sapude, Richard A. Waldschmidt and Paul G. Eckert.

The school serves grades K through 8 and special education students, and it offers a wide variety of scholastic and extracurricular activities.

Holy Family Congregation of Whitefish Bay, founded in 1949, is located on N. Wildwood Avenue, off of Hampton Avenue. The congregation of 4,500 members is headed by Fr. Dennis Dirkx.

The parishioners are provided with prayer groups, committees, outreach programs, social activities, religious education, athletics and administrative services.
