The Davis Academy serves 700 students in both of its schools. Its goal is to prepare students for high school. The lower school is located on Roberts Drive, and the middle school is on the corner of Roberts Drive and Spalding Drive. The curriculum has a Hebrew and Judaic foundation and is tailored to individual student needs.
Sammye E. Coan Middle School in Atlanta's Edgewood neighborhood is part of the Confucius Institute where students are immersed in Chinese culture and are taught Manadarin. The program, a partnership of Emory University, the Atlanta Public Schools and Nanjing University in China's Jiangsu Province, is in its fourth year at Coan.
Mercer University operates its Cecil B. Day Graduate and Professional Campus on 300 acres in northern DeKalb County. The main campus is in Macon. This quiet, wooded campus has acres of open space, including athletic fields and tennis courts, and a number of apartment complexes and government buildings are within walking distance. The university offers undergraduate programs ranging from engineering, liberal arts and education to nursing and graduate programs.
Holy Spirit Prepatory School offers a Catholic education, including four years of Latin supplanted by classical Greek. It is located on the Holy Spirit Catholic Church campus. The school also includes a preschool at Holy Spirit and a kindergarten through 6th grade school at 4820 Long Island Drive.
Centennial Place is a public elementary school in the Atlanta Public Schools system that serves grades kindergarten through fifth. The school sits on Luckie Street amidst a backdrop of Atlanta skyscrapers. The Arthur M. Blank Youth YMCA is located next door to the elementary school. A gated playground is shared between the school and the YMCA. Students at Centennial Place wear uniforms. An APS spokeswoman said Centennial Place benefits from strong partnerships with the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as The Coca-Cola Company. Byron Broussard leads the congregation at The Love Center that stands by the motto: "Crossing all the lines, reaching all the people." The Love Center holds services at its main campus, as well as at other locations, including those in Peachtree City and Yatesville.
