Jiffy Lube International pioneered the fast oil change industry by establishing one of the first drive-through service bays, providing customers with faster professional service for their vehicles. Jiffy Lube offers custom services, including oil changes and maintenance services, as well as diagnostics and reports. Jiffy Lube was established in 1979 then operating seven service centers. Today, the company has more than 2,200 service centers in the United States and Canada. Jiffy Lube services more than 29 million cars a year. Nearly 70 percent of Jiffy Lube service centers are franchised. The rest are company owned and operated. Jiffy Lube International is headquartered in Houston and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Shell Oil Company.
