Inscent, Inc was founded to capitalize on recent findings about how an insect interacts with its environment through taste and smell. Our technology has immediate applications in disciplines ranging from insect pest control to commercial pharmaceutical production and design, disease control products, and sensor products for manufacturing, quality control, military, and homeland security applications. Insects use their chemosensory systems to perceive their environment in much the same way humans use their senses of taste and smell. Inscents technological approach draws on our knowledge of the molecular mechanisms controlling the chemosensory system for a variety of applications. Using methods first developed by the pharmaceutical industry, Inscent is focused on discovering novel products aimed at revolutionizing the insect pest control market.
