Milpitas Care Center is a skilled nursing facility that offers in-house rehabilitation, both short-term and long-term. Most of the seniors come directly from a hospital. The building feels like a home and less like a medical facility. The nursing home has the capacity for 35 seniors. Current residents range in age from mid-50s to 99 years in age. The male-to-female ratio is 1:6. A large calendar in the hallway shows daily scheduled activities for residents. Once a month, there is a field trip, usually to the nearby mall. Although there is no chapel, church personnel visit the nursing home regularly.
