Adult Day Care services are included in the VHA Standard Medical Benefits Package. All enrolled Veterans are eligible if they meet the clinical need for day care services. The benefit can cover services up to 5 times a week. Primrose Lane is contracted with the Veterans Administration to provide day care services in Bexar County. Star+Plus offers health care for people who have Medicaid and Medicare. It also provides Adult Day Care services for people ho are elderly, and have a long lasting illness.
Some people in STAR+Plus get both Medicare and Medicaid. They receive regular health care through Medicare and long-term care services such as Adult Day Care through Medicaid.
In STAR+PLUS, long-term care services are provided through a health plan (also called a health maintenance organization or HMO). Primrose Lane has contracted with Amerigroup and Molina to provide Adult Day Care services to older adults up to 5 times per week.
Primrose Lane is a Licensed Day Activity and Health Services facility that provides daytime services to individuals living in the community as an alternative to living in a nursing home or other institution. You must meet these eligibility criteria:
•you must be a Medicaid recipient to get Title XIX services; and
•your income and resources may not exceed specified limits to get Title XX services

LTC plans pay for care and services needed by elderly or disabled individuals that are not covered by regular health insurance. Benefit payments from these policies are triggered when the elderly or disabled individuals are unable to do at least two of six Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) on their own (eating, bathing, toileting, continence, dressing and transferring).
