The approach we use from start to finish with homeowners and contractors encompasses good communication and personal recommendations on all aspects of the work to be performed. Specifications: Soil conditions dictate the amount of sight recommendation we recommend. When soil conditions are good we install 4-5 of inches of road base unless it is already present. Freshly rolled and compacted grade base will stay exposed for 7-10 days on average before installing a finished 3 inches of hot asphalt. The new asphalt is rolled and compacted and all edges are beveled and tamped at 45 degrees. During the 7-10 days that the driveway is open, we encourage normal traffic. Once paved, unless there is an emergency, we recommend that you stay off for three days. Foot traffic is fine after one evening. All of our driveways are built with longevity in mind and we guarantee them for five years.
