Tamara Vladic, a Walnut Creek resident, recently opened Deliciouz, a specialty high-end womens shoe store March 22 on North Main Street. Her boutique is the shoe shopping alternative to Macys and Nordstrom. "I wanted to bring a touch of a different world to women of Walnut Creek, " Vladic says. "You get the full service boutique experience." Vladic says customers are drawn to downtowns European city feel, with cafes and the experience of walking outdoors from shop to shop. "Youre not inside cooped up, " Vladic says. "Its a hub, its convenient, its easy to get to. The evening ( customer ) traffic is wonderful and has a very Euro feel to it. Downtown attracts business owners and shoppers because its very lively." High-end boutiques such as Hush, Samantha Lee and Deliciouz on North Main Street have lured the upscale French-themed specialty shops to downtown Walnut Creek, said Brian Hirahara, president of the Walnut Creek Downtown Business Association
