Center Barber Shop is located in the Princeton Shopping Center. It has been serving customers since 1954, although the current barbers, Bob and Tony, have been there since 1968 and 1972, respectively. Appointments are suggested but if there is a wait when you arrive, a television and VCR are set up with an array of Dean Martin Celebrity Roast tapes to watch. Center Barber is also known to have a table laid out at times with snacks and adult beverages especially for it's customers.
Giving buzz cuts since 1927, this traditional barber shop was once around the corner and found its new home at 1013 Harlem in 1965 . Owner Greg took over the scissors in 2003 and has been grooming the heads of Glenview since. A cozy nook, one gets a sense of the familiar the second the door swings open: The crisp, white-buttoned barber shirt, swivel chairs, combs soaking in disinfectant cups. Greg's Barber Shop is nothing formal or fancy -- and that's just what makes it special.
