Virginia Beach City Public Schools is one of the largest school systems in Virginia and serves more than 74, 000 students. Headquartered in Virginia Beach, Va., the system provides administration services and programs that include instructional opportunities through data-driven curriculum and technology integrated programs. It comprises various schools and educational centers, which include elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and secondary and postsecondary specialty centers. In addition it includes the Advanced Technology Center, Technical and Career Education Center, Center for Effective Learning, Virginia Beach Central Academy, Adult Learning Center, and Open Campus. The system also operates a wide range of academy programs that include International Baccalaureate program, and legal studies, technology and health sciences academies.
