Pennco Tech was formed in 1975 after the consolidation of School of Electronics and School of Automotive Technology, subsidiaries of Philco Corporation and Ford Motor Co. The technical institution offers various programs through experienced field instructors. It provides courses in networking, air conditioning, refrigeration and heating, automotive and auto body technology, drafting and computer-aided design, and diesel automotive and marine technology. The institute also offers courses for electrician, administrative medical assistant and pharmacy assistant. Each area of study at Pennco Tech facility has a local advisory committee comprising people representing area businesses. It offers assistance to students on job-seeking and job-keeping skills and techniques. Pennco Tech is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology, and is located in Bristol, Pa.
