California Smog & Automotive Institute is a AAA Certified Automotive Repair Facility and an Automotive Training Institution licensed by the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education, and is certified by the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR). We serve as a learning resource for professional technicians, and offer curriculum to include entry-level as well as advanced automotive diagnostic courses. The complexities of todays automobiles coupled with required technician certifications have severely restricted the number of technicians entering the workforce. The automotive repair industry is experiencing a shortage of automotive technicians especially in California where BAR Certified Emission Specialist are in short supply. California Smog Institute has responded to this need by creating a "fast-track" to a career as a California Certified Emissions Automotive Technician.
