Job Corps is a U.S. Department of Labor career and education center overseen by the San Francisco Regional Office of Job Corps. It offers a range of programs for young adults ages 16-24, including academic programs, academic training and employment skills training. Some areas and jobs include electrical, carpentry, brick masonry, medical office support, office administration, welding and more. The Hammond Head Start Center is located next to the Imperial Beach United Methodist Church and is part an Episcopal Community Service (ECS). The ECS program is a free pre-school and child care program, funded by the Neighborhood House Association. The center accepts applications for children ages 5 and under.
Central Elementary School, home of the Sea Lions, is a school for kids from kindergarten to sixth grade and is a part of the South Bay Union School District.

Before school programs begin at 6:30am. After-school programs run until 6pm. All students are eligible, but students picked up late may be removed from the program. Students who leave the program early must sign early release forms.
