Trinity Lutheran Church is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (Elca) and of the Southwest California Synod of the Elca. It holds three Sunday services as well as a Thursday night worship that includes Holy Communion with prayer and scripture discussion. The church has a nursery with certified child care available to congregants.
Dietz Bros. Music was founded in 1976 by two brothers who never imagined what a great impact their talents would have on the Manhattan Beach Community. There is excitement when you step into the spacious store and music school, which contains eight practice rooms for lessons in vocals, bass, drums, guitar, harp, mandolin, piano (beginning and advanced),violin, viola, saxophone, steel drums, ukulele and flute. Dietz Brothers teach everything from how to play in a band to developing skills in arranging, composing, leading and conducting. The store also offers fret dressing and guitar repairs and sells a wide variety of musical instruments. As if that isn't enough, the store's owners have their own band and are available for gigs in the area.
In business for 15 years, the Behind the Wheel Driving School caters to aspiring Manhattan Beach drivers, offering in-car driving lessons and classroom-based drivers' education classes. The Manhattan Beach Unified School District is made up of 8 schools (one preschool, five elementary, one middle and one high school). The schools included in the district are as follows: Grand View Elementary School, Meadows Elementary School, Pacific Elementary School, Pennekamp Elementary School, Robinson Elementary School, Manhattan Beach Middle School, Mira Costa High School, & Manhattan Beach Preschool. For those interested in a career in massage therapy, South Bay Massage College (SMBC) combines hands-on experience with massage business training to get you on your way to licensed accreditation. Classes are typically smaller (8-12 students) than other massage schools, allowing for more personalized instruction and a better education. SMBC students are given the opportunity to intern at the school's beautiful internship spa, located just two blocks from the beach.
