El Camino Preschool has been in business for about 20 years and provides a comfortable, safe environment for children. Located in a neighborhood, set back from the main streets, the school features large outside play areas with trees and a view of a neighbor's small farm. The school offers full- and part-day preschool options for children ages 2 to 5, as well as a before and after kindergarten program. Programs are offered on a two- to five-day basis, and tuitions vary accordingly. The registration fee is $75 per year or $100 per family, and tuition rates vary. Monthly tuition rates are based on 4.33 weeks.
This TERI (Training, Education and Research Institute) office, one of two in the area, is located in a small industrial park not far from the municipal airport. TERI is a special private school that works with autistic and special needs children. It was founded in 1980 and now has locations scattered around Southern California. Through support, advocacy and innovation, TERI works to give individuals and families a better future. It has established model programs that offer training and education to assist students in becoming productive citizens of the community. All studies are based on the age of the student, and classes are mixed depending on the level of mental health.
Coastal Academy is a free charter school located in Oceanside’s Rancho del Oro district. It was established in 2003. The curriculum was designed to allow choice among its students and to promote interactive learning inside and outside the classroom. Parents are encouraged to take an active part. Coastal Academy enrolls students in grades K-8. In addition to the traditional math and reading programs, there are community service clubs, foreign language programs, leadership programs and character education.
Founded in 1996, Oceanside Adventist Elementary provides quality Christian education to children in grades K through 8 in the San Diego's North County community. It is a private school with great academics and small class sizes which allows children to receive specialized attention in all areas. The school strives to integrate Biblical principles and spiritual values with the teaching of academic disciplines.
Mission Elementary School is part of the Oceanview Unified School District. The school serves children from pre-kindergarten through grade five. Students are in attendance from 8:50am to 3:35pm daily except on Wednesdays, which is an early-out day; students are dismissed at 1:05pm. Teachers are on campus daily from 8am to 4pm. Breakfast is served daily from 8:25am to 8:45am.
Mission’s after-school program serves students in grades one through five. The program provides childcare after school until 6pm. Registration for the program begins on August 24th and remains open throughout the school year. The program can accommodate 50 students. Bonsall West Elementary School is one of four schools in the Bonsall Union School District. Being located near the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base allows the school to serve many families who serve in the armed forces.
The school services children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Students are in attendance from 8am - 2:30pm daily, except on Thursdays, which is an early out day and the students are dismissed at 1:30pm. Bonsall offers a breakfast program, which is served daily from 7:30am - 7:50am.
After-school care is available from 2:30pm until 6pm. Homework time is provided; the program is free of charge and operated as an extension of the school.
Reynolds Elementary School is part of the Oceanside Unified School District. The school services children K-5. Students are in attendance from 8:15am - 2:25pm daily, except on Wednesdays, which is an early-dismissal day, when students can leave at 12:25pm. Teachers are on campus daily from 7:30am - 3pm, and breakfast is served daily from 7:45am - 8:15am. Second Chance breakfast is available during morning recess hours. Before- and after-school child care is not available at this campus.
Montessori School of Oceanside welcomes preschoolers to its protected facility. The children’s play area is gated and monitored by staff. The staff strives to accommodate the needs of each child.
Peppertree Montessori is an alternative school located in the very back of the Mission MarketPlace. It can be exceptionally hard to find as there are only small signs littered about the parking lot, but once parents find the rear drive way that leads to front entrance of the movie theater, the school becomes visible. Peppertree is a private school that teaches traditional Montessori education, stressing the full development of the child through the cultivation of imagination and creative expression. This safe, eco-friendly program offers level-based curricula for children between the ages of 12 weeks and eight years.

The before- and after-school program is available at 7am and until 6pm for grades 1 to 5.
Art Adventure Kids Art Studio is nestled into a quaint residential district of Oceanside. The specialty school teaches children of all ages to create realistic drawings, paintings and ceramics. Its classes are level based, ensuring that each child is working at the appropriate pace and getting the attention they deserve. Art Adventure teaches how to draw still life, landscapes, portraiture, the figure, cartooning and much more. It also offers seasonal workshops and enrichment programs for both children and adults. Its regular programs always end with a student showcase so that the kids can be recognized for their new works of art.
