The Academy of Music and Drama was established in 2003 to bring excellence in arts education to Monmouth County. The school's mission is to provide students of all ages with the skills they need to enjoy music and drama for a lifetime.
The AMD does everything it can to ensure that the school is well run and organized. There is never a charge for recitals, there is a free faculty recital every year and Student Appreciation Day is our way of saying thank you for being a part of our school.
Although many of our students have gone on to careers in the arts or arts education we know that most of our students are beginner or intermediate level students who want to have fun learning and playing an instrument, singing or acting. Our university trained instructors have fun sharing with students while teaching proven fundamentals of music and drama.

Mastro Montessori has been open since 1968; it follows the Montessori method, which was first established by Dr. Maria Montessori. Students at this school follow this philosophical and practical approach to education. The school has many different programs they offer to children of all ages. Early Years Pre-school, located at the Embury United Methodist Church in Little Silver, is open during the week until 2:30pm. The pre-school offers classes for children ages 3 - 6, including morning and afternoon pre-k sessions, and advanced pre-k classes. The school also offers extended care for children of working parents.
