Harbor Haven Summer Program is a West Orange-based program for children 3 to 15 years old with mild special needs. This co-ed program lasts 7 weeks in July and August, held at an 8-acre private school site. It offers traditional summer camp activities with structured support to help each child grow, develop new skills and make new friends. The camp offers diverse programming, including academic sessions each day, and also offers special day trips, events, workshops and outside entertainment. It also provides speech and occupational therapy, and serves as a bridge between school years. All programs are divided by age group. Transportation is available in most cases. Arts and enrichment courses include painting, poetry and creative writing, book clubs, speaking circles, meditation and much more.
