The mission of St. John Baptist de La Salle Regional Elementary School is to "provide a quality learning community rooted in academic excellence and the Catholic tradition." The school serves the St. James, St. Martin of Tours, St. Kilian and St. Pius X Roman Catholic parishes.

Louis Flight Academy offers instruction and services to pilots of all experience and skill levels. The Molloy College Suffolk Center offers on-site graduate courses throughout the year in education and nursing. The center also offers Continuing Education (non-credit) programs in Medical Records, Human Resources, Addiction Studies (CASAC Training), Fundraising Management and Financial Planning. The Molloy Institute for Lifelong Learning (MILL) also meets at the center.
The center has classrooms, a student lounge, library facilities, computers and an atrium space that is used for special events.
New York Academy of Bartending offers complete bartending and mixology classes. Day, night and weekend classes are available, and courses may be completed in one or two weeks, and total at forty hours of instruction. Students can also receive free job placement while enrolled.
Peanuts Nursery School offers learning programs for 2-, 3- and 4-year-olds, in addition to "you and me" classes designed for children 18 months to 2 years. Classes are available in both the morning and afternoon, and the curriculum is planned around 10 unique monthly themes. Activities include story time, music and movement, parachute play, sand, water, or rice tables, finger-painting, play dough and simple arts and crafts.
The Academy of Aviation's motto is "you have the dream, we give it wings." The school provides certified flight training for aspiring pilots with a variety of different programs. The school is FAA approved.
Farmingdale United Methodist Nursery School provides programs for children of 18 months through 4 years old designed to stimulate the child creatively, physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially. The school provides a variety of programs including art-media, painting, finger painting, chalk, dough, pasting, writing, coloring, block play, music, group work, books, circle and story time, cooking experiences, puppet shows, parties, movement classes, computer, outdoor and indoor large motor activities and stimulating walking distance field trips. Its teachers and assitance teachers are CPR and First Aid certified. It has been serving the community since 1965.
