The Cuyahoga Falls City School District was rated "Excellent" by the Ohio Department of Education in 2009-2010. Students who finished the 10th grade and 11th grade Ohio Graduation Tests (OGT's), overall performed above the state average in all five subjects.
Located near downtown Cuyahoga Falls, Redeemer Lutheran Church offers its congregation more than just weekend services. The church provides youth and adult programs. Redeemer Christian School is affiliated with the church for students pre-school through 8th grade.
Jacob & Clara Faber Foundation is located on Front Street in Cuyahoga Falls. It is an automotive collision & refinishing repair shop that has been in business for more than 50 years. It is also a school and offers a program for juniors and seniors in high school that are interested in the automotive collision industry. The Foundation doesn't receive any funding from the government and the program is offered at no charge to the students. The Jacob & Clara Faber Foundation is based in a fairly large facility, with decent parking.
The Schnee Learning Center is an alternative school sponsored by the Cuyahoga Falls School District for grades 9-12.
Schnee provides a substitute to the traditional school learning environment. The students are motivated by their personal and educational growth through a focus academic and social skills.
Schnee Learning Center maintained its district report card rating of "Effective" for the second straight year in 2010. Kennedy Park includes Schnee's playground and outdoor athletic facilities. The school is tucked back in a residential neighborhood and is located near the border of Munroe Falls.
Founded in 1969, this school features a fenced-in outdoor playground and park and a library, located close to the heart of the city's downtown. DeWitt Elementary School was rated "effective" by the Ohio Department of Education for the 2009-2010 school year. The school has 28 full-time teachers on staff, with six part-time teachers. About 430 students were enrolled at DeWitt Elementary in 2010. Each month, the school issues a newsletter to parents, Dragon Tales, which offers parents an inside look at projects, dates of events and a list of students recognized for outstanding achievements and Top Tiger awards.
Northminister Pre-School has been offering classes for young children since 1970.
While the school is located inside the Northminister Presbyterian Church, it does not include religion in its curriculum. A total of 11 teachers are on staff for the morning and afternoon classes for children ages 3 to 5. The popular Mom&Me program allows children as young as 2-and-a-half to attend with his or her parent or adult.
"We have wonderful families that participate with their children," pre-school director Teresa Lance said.
Each school year the students are asked to participate in the Good Neighbors food drive. Lance said in 2010 the students performed "more than ever."
Students are taught on subjects ranging from math and reading to music and crafts. Each week students attend the school's library for story time or to check out books.
Cuyahoga Valley Art Center is a non-profit organization offering memberships, classes, art shows and workshops.

Students in grades kindergarten through 5th attend Richardson Elementary School, which is located behind Acme Fresh Market No. 10 off of State Road.
Richardson Elementary Park, situated on the left side of the building, includes a playground area with swings and a jungle gym.
Founded 28 years ago, Summit Christian School is a private institution for students in grades pre-school through 8th. Teachers use more hands-on activities for student learning and engagement. "We have plenty of field trips," explained Melanie Kemp, school administrator.
Students are encouraged to be active in local community service outreach programs, such as the Haven of Rest, singing in nursing homes and supporting a doctor's mission to volunteer in Haiti.
St. Joseph School is connected with St. Joseph Parish of Cuyahoga Falls, located at 1761 2nd Street. The church is Roman Catholic and always accepting new parishioners.
The School opened in 1923 and features classroom, a library, cafeteria, state-of-the-art computer center, gym and small offices. The school is for students in grades K-8 and offers core curriculum classes, advanced classes and sports programs. Exercise classes are offered at the school and church. The church has been a staple of the community for over a century.
