AMIS is committed to creating a diverse school community and providing a happy, safe and caring learning environment for our students while enabling them to realize their full potential. Atlanta Montessori International School ( AMIS ) provides a superior, international standard of education that fosters knowledge about the cultures and peoples of the world in which we live. AMIS is a year-round school serving the needs of children ages 16 months through Elementary level. The school is open Monday through Friday from 7: 30 a.m. to 6 p.m., with core school hours from 8: 00 a.m. to 3: 00 p.m. AMIS also offers an innovative summer camp program, open to AMIS students and to children from other Montessori schools. Montessori is a method which appeals to the natural intelligence of the child. AMIS views each individual child as a source of potential, and the aim is to tap that potential to its fullest. The AMIS Montessori environment ensures that each child progresses through math, language, culture, arts and sciences in a friendly, non-threatening and scientifically proven manner, while developing physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually.
